Automated crate handling with Moderniek systems improves production efficiency and guarantees consistent crate quality. Moderniek develops and builds automated crate processing solutions in-house, including milling, nailing and chamfering systems for industrial crate production environments.
The crate milling machines use a gantry construction to transport milling heads around the crate, creating precise rounded top edges with a consistent finish. For automated crate assembly, Moderniek developed a fully automatic crate nailing machine where a gantry lowers over the crate and simultaneously presses nails into all four sides. Adjustable nail positions via touchscreen controls provide maximum flexibility for different crate types and production requirements.
For high-capacity finishing operations, chamfering systems accurately saw all four crate corners at speeds exceeding 30 crates per minute. After processing, crates are automatically stacked three-high using an integrated stacking system, creating a fully automated and efficient production flow.
